I would like to say that I am a hardcore anime fan. I would like to say that I have seen every scrap of anime there is to see and that I have a full and commanding knowledge of each and every series ever
created. I would like to say these things . . . but I can't.
Unfortunately, my own anime experiences have been mostly of the main stream, commercialized variety. Not that there is anything wrong with this. It's just that I haven't seen a lot of stuff that I
would have like to have seen and that I have heard is really cool. I have a deep burning wound that aches to be soothed with more and more anime.
<shrug>
That having been said, I would like to modestly say that I have seen quite a bit of 'main stream, commercialized' anime, and have begged, borrowed or stolen (not to mention bought, bartered, bamboozled,
downloaded, taped, traded and traumatized) my way to a decent beginnings of an anime collection. I plan on sharing my views on some of it with you, kind web wanderer. The things I liked, the things I
didn't like, the things I found outright deplorable. So sit back and get ready for the Holt's Anime Reviews (. . . and the monkey flips the switch . . .)
